In Manahawkin, the governor makes first public appearance since 'Bridgegate' scandal broke

He may want to work in Washington D.C., but does Gov. Chris Christie really want to move out of New Jersey?

Christie made his first public appearance since the "Bridgegate" lane-closure scandal broke last week, appearing in Manahawkin Thursday to announce an $817 million housing recovery program in one of the communities hardest hit by Superstorm Sandy.

But the governor, who many have cast as a potential Republican nominee for president in 2016, also spoke of his affection of New Jersey and told the gathering that: "This is where I intend to spend the rest of my life."
