Gov. Christie Named 'Father of the Year'

The National Father’s Day/Mother’s Day Council announced this year's 'Father of the Year' Monday.

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is the Father of the Year.

According to an Associated Press report, the National Father’s Day/Mother’s Day Council announced Monday that they have named him the “Father of the Year” 2014. The report, which appeared on abcnews.com and numerous other media outlets, noted that Christie often talks of his four kids, who range in age from 10 to 20, in public.

This year’s other Father of the Year honoree is shoe designer Vince Camuto, the report said.

Christie and Camuto will receive the award at a ceremony in June, reports say.

I have to say....I find it pretty funny how the Republicans on this site are acting like Christie has fixed what's wrong with NJ...when last I checked the pension fund is still underfunded EVERY year, my taxes are STILL incredibly high, the roads are absolutely horrendous, teachers, who went to expensive colleges, are still being vilified for making a living wage...the list goes on and on...I realize that NJ has many problems, but to claim that Christie has fixed things, and that everything is rosy because a Republican is in office, is a pipe dream...the only one that Christie will allow, because NJ will not be allowed to get in on the ground floor of the marijuana industry and exact some form of tax relief...not while he is Gov...Great promoter of less Gov. intrusion and free enterprise...

It poses as a charity, but it is a political organization of course, with paid senior volunteers. http://www.momanddadday.com/council_news.htm

Christie's corrupt ways are being uncovered, one by one: Since March 18, at least three articles claim that on separate occasions, Governor Christie rewarded Republican donors to the Republican Governors Association (RGA) and Republican Party of New Jersey with lucrative contracts to invest and manage a portion of New Jersey's pension fund for public employees.
