Lake Como Pumping Station Work Continues

Ocean Avenue closed for construction

Ocean Avenue in Lake Como remains closed as crews work on the oceanfront pumping station.

Work continued this week to build the facility between Belmar and Spring Lake.

Can anyone add some more information to this article? Time table, is it actually Spring Lake doing the work, the county etc... thanks!

Please put in a spillway in case the pipe fails. Gravity is free. When the storm hit the pumps were useless and the lake held water for a week.

Correct. A fail safe for the pump losing power should follow the K I S S rule.
