Last Chance: Mail Your Income Tax Returns

Federal and state income tax returns must be postmarked by Tuesday, April 17

Federal and state income tax returns must be postmarked by Tuesday, April 17, to meet this year's deadline — which falls two days later than normal this year because the traditional April 15 deadline was Sunday and because the District of Columbia celebrates Emancipation Day on Monday, April 16.

But don't expect extended hours at the U.S. Post Office branch location on Belmar Boulevard. Those doors close at 4:45 p.m.
