Monmouth Assembly GOPers Named To Party Leadership

Monmouth County Republicans will hold some sway in the state Assembly GOP leadership in the upcoming legislative session, officials announced Friday.

Assembly Minority Leader Jon Bramnick announced who would fill key leadership roles in the 216th Legislature and five Monmouth Republican Assembly members are among them. 

Assembly members Dave Rible, Mary Pat Angelini, Declan O’Scanlon, Amy Handlin, and Caroline Casagrande were all given positions of authority in the new session, according to a release from the Assembly Republican office.

Rible, representing the 30th district, will become the GOP Conference leader. Angelini, representing the 11th district, will be a deputy conference leader. O’Scanlon, representing the 13th district, will become the party’s budget officer. Handlin, with be a deputy Republican leader and Casagrande, who represents the 11th district, will be the assistant Republican leader, according to a release.

“These top leaders represent a vast array of experience and diversity,” Jon Bramnick, R-Union, said in a statement. “We are fortunate to have talented representatives from all parts of the state lead the Republican caucus.”
