Township makes available proposed 2013 spending plan

A little more than a week after presenting its proposed budget at the most recent Township Committee meeting, the spending plan has been put online for public scrutiny.

The budget is available for download from the Township website. It was placed there Thursday.

The $35,179,494 2014 spending plan is up $340,029, or just less than 1 percent from last year’s $34,839,465 budget.

The budget is supported by a $25,647,900 tax levy and comes with a 1.9-cent tax rate increase for each $100 of assessed property value.

On a home assessed at $302,000 – the township average – the municipal portion of the tax bill would come to about $2,087, up from about $2,029 last year, an increase of 2.83 percent.
