NJ Transit Rail Service Restored; 60-minute delays

Service interrupted for about 90 minutes Tuesday morning.

NJ Transit rail service has been restored on all lines after being suspended on all but one line for about 90 minutes Tuesday.

NJ Transit said around 9 a.m. there was a problem with both computer servers that control the railroad's control system. The problem resulted in the loss of signals on all of the railroad's service lines, according to an NJ Transit release.

During the outage, NJ Transit was cross-honoring rail passes with light rail, NJ Transit bus services, private bus services and Path trains.

Check the NJ Transit website for updates, there is no current indication as to when rail service will be restored.
