Quick Chek Application Postponed Until May

Zoning board rescheduled application hearing for May

An application to build a Quick Chek convenience store and gas station on Allenwood Road that has rankled neighbors was put off until May by the Board of Adjustment during its regular meeting on Wednesday.

A representative from Quick Chek said a witness was unable to attend Wednesday's scheduled hearing and asked for a postponement. Chairwoman Mary DeSarno set a new hearing date of May 16 at 7:30 p.m. at town hall, 2700 Allaire Ave.

DeSarno said Quick Chek would be the only application on the agenda for that night in hopes that the application could finish making its pitch for the facility.
