Trio Of Officers Promoted

Three Wall Township Police Department officers moving up the ranks

Three Wall Township Police Officers were sworn in to their new offices at the last Township Committee meeting.

Surrounded by family and taking the oaths of office were Sgt. Steve DesMarais, Detective Heath Bono and Patrolman Eric Olsen. Each of the officers have earned a higher rank and their promotions were applauded by the entire police department and a packed meeting room last Wednesday.

DesMarais, a 23-year veteran, was promoted to Lieutenant. He will receive a salary of $127,797.23. Bono, a 17-year veteran, was promoted to Sergeant and will be assigned to a patrol squad. He will receive a salary of $110,586.70. Olsen, also a 17-year veteran, also was promoted to Sergeant and will be assigned to a patrol squad. He will recieve a salary of $110,586.70.
