County Dems Endorse Candidates
County's democratic organization taps local to national candidates
The Monmouth County Democratic party on Thursday endorsed Democrats for county and national races in the November election, officials said.
In national races, the club picked Barack Obama for president; Robert Menendez for U.S. Senate; Frank J. Pallone Jr. for the House of Representatives in the 6th Legislative District and Brian Froelich, Spring Lake, for the 4th Congressional district, officials said.
For county seats, the club picked Bill Shea, of Howell, for Freeholder; and for the 1-year unexpired term on the Freeholder board, Kevin Lavan; Michael Steinhorn, of Rumson, for county clerk, officials said.
