Wall Hires Three Police Officers

Two of the "probationary police officers" were sworn in at Wednesday night Township Committee meeting and are heading to the Monmouth County Police Academy

The Wall Township Committee is hiring three new police officers, two of whom were sworn in at the Wednesday night meeting.

Megan Alexander and Joseph Antunez were sworn in at the meeting as "probationary police officers" and are heading to the Monmouth County Police Academy for training. Their starting dates are Thursday (July 25).

The starting date for Kevin Wager, the third new police hire, is Aug. 28 and he will be sworn in at the August committee meeting, according to the police department.

Starting salaries for each of the three are $41,450. 

In addition, the committee appointed Michael Cacciatore as a part-time dispatcher at a salary of $20.31 per hour.

The committee also adopted an ordinance to eliminate the rank of sergeant first class.

The committee also presented proclamations to Girl Scout Troops 711 and 1303 for being "Silver Award recipients."
