Busing To Monday Intermediate School Music Meeting

The Wall school district will provide shuttle service from the Municipal Complex to the meeting being held on Monday morning about changes to the music program at the Intermediate School, according to the district’s website.

The meeting, on the district’s proposal to bump music instruction from the regular school day in favor of double periods of mathematics and language instruction at the Intermediate School for the upcoming school year,  is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. in the school’s auditorium.

Because the meeting is scheduled during school hours, the Intermediate School’s parking lot likely will be full, so the district has made arrangements to shuttle people from the Municipal Complex – 2700 Allaire Road – to the nearby school. The bus is scheduled to leave at 9 a.m., according to a district flyer.

The is considering moving its music program from the regular school day to a before- or after-school session in favor of expanding its math and language instruction.

The measure, , is in response to the school's designation as a "school in need of improvement'' for its consecutive years of faltering standardized test scores.
