Meet The Candidates Night To Take Place Tuesday

Nine candidates are vying for four spots on the Board of Education in the April 27 election

A debate among the nine people vying for seats on the Board of Education is scheduled for Tuesday night.

A “Meet the Candidates’’ night debate is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday at the High School, 1630 18th Ave. The event is sponsored by the Wall Township High School Boosters.

The debate, a 90-minute question-and-response format, will be moderated by the League of Women Voters, said Patty Bartsche, boosters co-president, on Friday.

. Bartsche said the candidates have been extended an invitation to participate in the event.

Audience members will submit questions they would like candidates to answer. The moderator, a League of Women Voters member, will organize those questions according to topic and candidates will each have a minute to respond. The program will conclude with a statement from each of the candidates, Bartsche said.
