That group became known as "Lakoda Rayne." The four practiced at Fletcher's Wall Township home earlier this year before heading out to X Factor judge Paula Abdul's estate in Santa Barbara, Calif., to compete in the round that aired Thursday. Video footage of the group at Fletcher's house shown on the show was shot by Wall High School graduate and filmmaker Ryan Hutchins.

Following their performance, some of the singers said that something didn't feel right, but hoped the judges would take into account their short time together as a group.

The show's grand prize is a $5 million recording contract and a spot on a commercial to be aired during next year's Super Bowl.

The results of Thursday's competition are expected to be announced during the next airing of the show, scheduled for Sunday at 8 p.m. on the Fox network.

Fletcher's parents, contacted previously, have said they are barred from speaking to the press for the duration of the show.
