School Board To Meet Tuesday

First meeting since curriculum director hired by Cherry Hill district

The Wall Township Board of Education is scheduled to meet Tuesday, the first public session since a top administrator was hired by another school district.

The school district has yet to comment publicly on the departure of .

Seth Klukoff, Cherry Hill Board of Education president, said July 1 that Gaffney had been hired as an assistant superintendent of curriculum. Gaffney will earn a salary of $160,000 in her new post. She will start Aug. 15, Klukoff said.

It is unclear whether the district intends to fill Gaffney's position or fold duties into another position. A discussion of the situation is not evident on Tuesday's agenda.

Gaffney was paid a $130,000 salary in 2010, according to state records.

The agenda includes a vote to approve a $9,900 paycheck for Leadership Advantage -- a superintendent search firm based at Seton Hall University -- to conduct a search for a new superintendent.

The board is scheduled to meet at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Intermediate School, 2801 Allaire Road. The agenda of the meeting is attached to this story.
