Wall Community Alliance Seeks Support

Project Graduation, all-night drug- and alcohol-free party, enters its 21st year

The Wall Alliance for the Prevention of Drug and Alcohol Abuse is seeking donations for the 21st Annual Wall High School Project Graduation.

The free event is an all-night drug- and alcohol-free party for graduating high school seniors on what is historically a very dangerous night for teens.  The party features food, activities, entertainment, music, dancing, and more. The event is held at the Atlantic Club, 1904 Atlantic Ave., and is funded solely through fundraising, donations, and the support of the community.

“To help offset costs, we are looking for donations of gifts cards, gifts items, cans of soda, bottled water, packaged snacks and more,” Mary Lynn Morris, chair of the Wall alliance, said.  “And area eateries are asked to donate snacks and food for the 6-hour party.”

“Naturally, monetary donations are very appreciated,’’ said Jo Schloeder, alliance co-chair, in a release. “This party costs over $10,000 to stage, and we know it’s worth every dollar. We couldn’t do it without the help of the community.”
