Assemblyman Dave Rible is urging businesses and shoppers to participate in Small Business Saturday which will take place this Saturday, November 30, according to a release.
“Small Business Saturday is a great way for people to show their support for the small businesses that are so important to our communities,” Rible said in the release. “As we begin the holiday shopping season, this is a perfect occasion for shoppers to take advantage of the great deals that are available at small businesses throughout the area.”
Rible said a number of governmental entities around the country have officially recognized the occasion and noted that the Small Business Administration is encouraging merchants to use the occasion to increase business by using resources available on their website, www.sba.gov.

“There are a number of resources available to help small businesses use this occasion to market their business,” Rible said in the release. “This is a great opportunity for small businesses to let people know about the services and products they offer as well as the benefits of shopping locally."
