Firecracker Five Set For Wednesday Morning

Popular five-mile running event begins and ends at town hall

The 23rd annual Firecracker Five is slated to start Independence Day in Wall with an 8:35 a.m. start for the popular five-mile run.

More than 300 people ran in last year's race, which begins and ends at town hall, 2700 Allaire Ave. Prizes are awarded to the top three man and woman finishers in each of the 14 age groups. Registration is $30 and begins at 7:15 a.m.

The five-mile race-walk also begins at 8:35 a.m. and a two-mile fitness walk is set to start at 8:40 a.m.

The kids races were held Sunday on the final day of the Wall Fair.
