Full Weekend Of Races At Wall Stadium

Second week of 2012 racing season is jam packed

Auto racers are preparing for another battle at Wall Stadium this weekend as the 2012 racing schedule enters its second week on Saturday with a Mexican-themed night for Cinco de Mayo with Enduro races to follow on Sunday.

In Saturday's main events, the first green flag is scheduled to drop at 7 p.m. Saturday at the 1/3-mile paved oval track at Route 34 and Hurley Pond Road.

And on Sunday, the track will host its fourth Enduro event of the season. Grandstand seating will open at noon and the first green flag of the day is schduled for 1:00 p.m.

Opening night Modified winner Steven Reed of Freehold and defending Modified champion Anthony Sesely of Matawan will once again challenge each other for the top spot in that division.

In the Sportsman division, Howell’s Eric Mauriello will be trying to add to his opening night win, while 2011 champion Kevin Eyres of Colts Neck be in search of a victory, along with Andrew Krause of Holmdel, Brick’s Shawna Ingraham and Robert Sutphin, Charlie Kremer III of Toms River and Kevin Davison of Howell.

Opening night winners Scott Riggleman of Manchester in the Factory Stock division, Jackson’s Howie Conk in the Street Stock ranks and Legend Cars defending champ and opening night victor Derek Hopkinson of Toms River will be among the favorites.
