SPORTS IN BRIEF: Crimson Knights Hockey Falls to Indians

Wall drops one 4-1 to Toms River South at Gold Coast Arena

The Wall High School Crimson Knights hockey team played Toms River South on Wednesday in a losing – 4-1 - effort in a Shore B Division matchup of top teams at Gold Coast Arena.

Wall started the evening strong by pinning the Indians in their own zone for a good portion of the first period, scoring on sophomore forward Tyler Berardo's wrister during a scramble. But the goal was waved off by the referees.

Toms River South took advantage of the call by cashing in with a goal minutes later. The Indians scored two more unanswered goals before Wall's top line replied. With only 53.4 seconds remaining in the second period, senior forward Zach Zoller would deposit a quick wrister, garnering sophomore forward Matt Marabeti and junior defenseman O'Keefe assists.
