Post by Nancy Heins-Glaser. This make me very sad. Rebhorn was a true gentleman - the quiet andRead More gentle sort of a person who understood what really matters in life. Jim communicated this sincere knowing through his honest, open conversations whether in passing on the running track, during community events, or when interviewed. He was a great actor and a wonderful person. He touched a lot of people - what a loss for all of us. I am sending Jim's family prayerful and caring thoughts.

In their sorrow, the Trengrove family continued to think of others by donating Matthew's ogans.Read More Today is National Blue and Green Day, set aside by Congress to honor those who have made the decision to become organ and tissue donors at the end of thier life. Obviously, Matthew became the loving person he is described to be in his obituary by the way in which his family conducts themselves, even in a time of great sadness. My deepest sympathies to the Trengrove family on their loss.

We have learned that we each belong only to each our own fate, and unto God. Many get angry at GodRead More for taking life, but again, God gave man life, no matter how short or long. We are only visitors here upon earth, for a brief stay. This is why I pray often. To try to understand the reasons why certain people suffer, or die before their time. There's so much to say about this, but, it doesn't always comfort those who lost someone so dear. They ask for reason, and all one can say is, life is what it is. Love those around you, for you never know how long you shall have them. I have lost every friend by death, my parents, siblings and it has left me sad, very, asking, Why?, as well. Study of the Bible and various other things has taught me that we live "all" on borrowed time. Wars, a dictator's tyranny, weather, and various illnesses can take away one's life. My heart feels for you. This dearly departed son was so young to leave this earth, as were the many soldiers whom we can't believe are gone too. What a terrible thing. I hug you, in memorializing Matthew Trengrove. May God's Immaculate Angels caress his spirit as he begins his new life beyond our reach. May our prayers be heard. Lord, hear our prayers for this, Thy beloved child in Christ, Matthew, that he be given eternal life in God's Kingdom of Heaven. May he rest in peace and always be in the hearts of all those who loved him here upon this tangible earth. God rest this dear Angel's soul. Amen.

Stevie - Do you realize that one in six hospitals in the US is run (non-profit) by the CatholicRead More church? Imagine those closing? How many patients in those hospitals are not Catholic and yet are treated without question? I have a feeling that Americans sense of entitlement goes beyond the scope of the federal government and now apparently the church owes folks housing, education, healthcare, etc. We are in deep trouble when those with their hands out exceed the numbers of citizens able to fill them.

This chinese auction is planned a year in advance. The PTO is Saint Joe's Grade School is working onRead More next years as we speak! For those of you who don't know what that money is used for I will enlighten you. It is used for upkeep of the school i.e. refinishing of the gymnasium floors and other repairs that the school may need. See, unlike the public schools the Catholic Schools do not have unlimited funds to make the repairs anytime that they want. They are not supported by the TAXPAYERS they survive by tuition and fundraisers! About Hurricane Sandy.. in addition to housing those families the schools (Saint Joe's Grade School and Monsignor Donovan High School) filled a tractor trailer FULL of food, water, blankets and clothing for people affected by Hurricane Sandy, at a Monsignor Donovan football game people were asked to bring some kind of food item or a school item to help the Lavallette School while they were being house at St. Barbara's Greek Church after Hurricane Sandy. Plus, the schools also run food drives for the parish food pantry that not only feeds members of the parish who need help with food but, also help feed many others in the community, there are kids from the high school that go and give out food to people in Asbury Park. They high school sports teams and music department go Irvington and give gifts to underprivileged kids, they work with Habitat for Humanity and many other so before you run your mouth perhaps you get your facts straight!
