Belmar Police Charge Wall Woman with DWI

18-year-old arrested late last month in the borough

A local underage woman was charged by Belmar Police with driving while intoxicated, records show. Kristianna King, 18, of Wall, was arrested June 27 after being stopped at the intersection of 17th Avenue and Newman Street, according to a release from the Belmar Police Department. Officer Erik Lieb made the arrest, the release says.

Checkpoint Nets Drunken Drivers

Task force ran DWI checkpoint on Route 34 Friday

The Monmouth County DWI Task Force arrested and charged five people with drunken driving during a checkpoint held on Route 34 overnight Friday, authorities said. The task force ran the checkpoint from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. on the northbound lanes of the state highway near Paynters Road. Police report the following arrests:

Morganville Man Charged with DWI

Early morning traffic stop nets drunken driver

A Morganville man was arrested on drunken driving charges early Wednesday morning, police said. Michael DeJohn, 22, of the Morganville section of Marlboro, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on Route 18 around 1:00 a.m., according to a release from Sgt. Frank Lancellotti. Patrolman James Cadigan was the arresting officer.
