Three Men Indicted On Drug Charges

Possession charge stemming from July arrest in Wall Township

Three men were indicted Wednesday on drug possession charges stemming from a July incident in town, authorities said. Matthew J. Chasey, 21, of Lakewood; Derrick W. Cook, 18, of Cape Canaveral, Fla., and David P. Foster Jr., 21, of Neptune were indicted on a single count of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, according to the indictment. The trio was arrested on July 10 and charged with possession of methylone, according to the indictment. Methylone is a chemical cousin to MDMA, the active ingredient in the club drug known as “Extacy.’’

Minor drug possession among the charges

Several area people were arrested and charged overnight with a variety of offenses, police said. Timothy Owens, 20, of Neptune, was arrested and charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana following a traffic stop around 8:45 p.m. at Route 35 and 18th Avenue. Patrolman Micheal Hurden was the arresting officer, Sgt. Kenneth Brown said. Joseph McCreanor, 22, of Wall, was arrested and charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and fireworks follwing a traffic stop around 9:50 p.m. at Hunters Lane and Tally Ho Dr. Patrolaman Frank Kuhl was the arresting officer, Brown said. You do realize that most people who deal pot are usually dealing other kinds of drugs. As a mom, I don't want a message being sent to my kids that some drugs are okay and some aren't. Both arrests for minor drug possession, police say

Two area people were arrested and charged with minor drug possession overnight, police said. Tyrone Velez Jr., 25, of Neptune, was arrested and charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana following a traffic stop on I-195 around 10:25 p.m. Thursday, Sgt. Frank Lancellotti said. Kirin Greene, 26, of Brick was arrested and charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on Route 138 around 1:00 a.m. Friday, Lancellotti said.

Wall Man Charged With Minor Drug Possession Overnight

A Wall man was among a pair arrested and charged with minor drug possession overnight Tuesday, police said. Joseph Veguz, 23, and Maria C. Post, 21, of Beachwood were arrested and charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana following a traffic stop on Route 138 around 10:30 p.m. Patrolman James Cadigan was the arresting officer, Sgt. Frank Lancellotti said.

Drug, Drunken Driving Arrests Overnight Friday

Two men arrested in separate incidents

A Wall man was arrested and charged with minor drug possession Friday while a Keansburg man faces drunken driving charges for a stop overnight Saturday. Phillip Holmes York, 19, was arrested and charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia following a traffic stop on Route 35 around 8:45 p.m. Patrolman James Cadigan was the arresting officer, Sgt. Frank Lancellotti said. Daniel Harding, 39, of Keansburg was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop on Route 138 around 2:10 a.m. Saturday. Cadigan was the arresting officer, Lancellotti said.

Aberdeen Man Indicted on Cocaine Distribution Charges

Investigators say he sold cocaine to undercover officers in Wall

A Monmouth County grand jury on Wednesday indicted an Aberdeen man on drug possession and distribution charges in Wall and Aberdeen. Police say that James Guthridge, 27, distributed cocaine to an undercover detective from the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office Narcotics Strike Force in Wall on Nov. 10, 2011 and in Aberdeen on Nov. 16, 2011. Guthridge faces two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance with the intent to distribute, and two counts of distribution of a controlled dangerous substance. All are third degree crimes. An indictment does not indicate a conviction, only that the charges may be brought to trial.

Pair Of Local Men Indicted On Drug Charges

Grand jury indicts Manasquan and Spring Lake men on earlier arrests in Wall

Two local men on Tuesday were indicted for earlier arrests in town for drug possession, according to court records. Joseph Anodide III, 20, of Spring Lake, and Christopher Nickerson, 19, of Manasquan, were indicted by a grand jury of third degree heroin possession, stemming from a March 11 arrest, according to the indictment.
