Family fun in Manasquan
We took our cameras to the Manasquan Fireman's Fair on Wednesday night. Hundreds were on hand to partake in an evening of family fun which included plenty of rides and games as well as great fair food and live music. Manasquan is gearing up for yet another Fireman's Fair and this year's festivities are shaping up to be bigger than ever. More than 30,000 are expected to visit the borough's Mallard Park over the five-day period to enjoy rides, games and family fun. The Manasquan Fireman's Fair, which began in 1974, is the year's largest fundraiser for Manasquan Volunteer Engine Company #2. The fair was held every year until 1988, when waning interest led to its cancellation. Ten years later, the fair was revived and its been going strong ever since. A number of special events have been planned for the week.
