Help putting together and running the annual event sought
Preparations are being made for the annual Winter Carnival at Old Mill School. The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 9 and will feature, games, a popular cake walk, dunk tank, sand art, face painting and a moon walk. Lunch, ice cream and popcorn will be served. Rain or shine run, walk, or jog through the neighborhoods around Old Mill School
The Old Mill School Family Fun Run is scheduled, rain or shine, for Saturday. The two-mile walk, jog or run, a fundraiser for the school, is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. at the elementary school, 2119 Old Mill Rd. Registration is $15, right up to the minute of the race. Late fees have been waived for this family event.

Annual event scheduled for Saturday
Crafters and artisans are scheduled to bring their wares to Old Mill School Oct. 20th for the school's annual Harvest Craft Fair. The free event, a fundraiser for the elementary school at 2119 Old Mill Road, is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Kids activities are planned along with baked goods, crafts, linens, leather goods, ceramics, home decor and many other crafts to be on display and for sale during the fair. Kindergarten orientation day calms students', parents' nerves
When the school bus arrives at the home of 5-year-old Ayden Sluder Thursday morning, there will be no surprises for him on his first day of school. He already knows how to buckle his seatbelt, to listen to the bus driver, talk quietly and walk – not run -- on and off the bus. When he arrives at Old Mill School, he knows where he’s going to sit in Mrs. Conway’s class. He knows where his cubby is, and where to put his lunchbox. He knows lots of other things, too, such as the importance of raising his hand, taking turns and pushing in his chair when he’s not sitting in it. Handmade arts and crafts on sale to benefit school
The Old Mill School's annual Harvest Craft Fair Extravaganza is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 15. Registrations are being accepted now
The Old Mill School is accepting registrations for its Family Fun Run, scheduled for next month at the school. The event, a two-mile run, jog or walk through the neighborhood surrounding Old Mill School, is scheduled for Nov. 19. Registration is $12 before Nov. 9, and $17 thereafter. Families can register for up to $55 maximum before Nov. 9 and $65 maximum thereafter. The first 600 to register will receive a t-shirt. Awards will be given to every pre-schooler and kindergartener who participates, as well as the top three finishers in each grade from 1-5.
