Tractor-trailer overturned Thursday morning spilling debris over state highway
A tractor-trailer overturned on Route 138 Thursday morning, spilling heaps of debris on the state highway and shutting the westbound lanes of the state highway. The truck, filled with construction debri, was traveling westbound in the area of Route 18 when it overturned around 10:30 a.m. spilling debris across all lanes of the westbound highway. The driver, Michael Brake, 38, of Long Branch, was traveling on Route 18 south ramp for Route 138 west when he struck the curb and rolled over, Sgt Patrick Connor said. Brake was taken by Wall EMS to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune Township, with a minor leg injury, Connor said.
