Numerous arrests this week for a variety of crimes
A Beachwood woman was arrested and charged Tuesday with prostitution at a local motel, police said. Jessica Miserendino, 35, was arrested and charged with promoting and engaging in prostitution at a Route 35 motel, Sgt. Erik Ertle said. The hotel was not named. Detective Sean O’Halloran was the arresting officer, Ertle said. Also on Tuesday, Richard Clark, 47, of Bridgeport, Conn., was arrested and charged with second degree aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possess of a knife, Ertle said. Clark’s arrest stems from a Nov. 8 incident at a Route 35 motel where police say Clark slashed a 26-year-old Connecticut resident with a knife, Ertle said. Asbury Park woman arrested Thursday
An Asbury Park woman was arrested and charged with prostitution Thursday at a Route 35 motel, police said. Ikiasia S. Cope, 21, was arrested and charged at the Village Motel at 2035 Route 35 around 5:45 p.m. Cope also had warrants for her arrest out of other Monmouth County jurisdictions, Sgt. Steven Wolter said. Cope was taken to the Monmouth County Jail, Freehold Township, in default of bail, Wolter said.

Wall Township Police make sweep of area motels
Three area women were arrested in recent weeks at Wall Township motels and charged with prostitution, police said Wednesday. The women, who were arrested in separate incidents, all used the internet to advertise their services, Lt. Walter Pomphrey said. April M. Flizack, 22, of Belmar, was arrested and charged with third degree promoting prostitution and one count of engaging in prostitution around 3:30 a.m. Aug. 19 at the Village Motel on Route 35, Pomphrey said. Casey Lynn Voto, 24, of Middletown, was arrested at the Budget Inn on Route 35 at 5 p.m. Aug. 23 and charged with one count of third degree promoting prostitution and one count of engaging in prostitution and one count of possession of syringes, Pomphrey said.
