Jury Indicts 19-Year-Old Man on Charges of Sexual Assault of 12-Year-Old Girls

Hillsboro man will also stand trial on child endangerment charges

A Hillsboro man was indicted Friday by a Grand Jury in Freehold on charges he sexually assaulted two 12 year-old girls in Middletown.  James Cascia, 19, is accused by the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office of "sexual assault, by committing an act of sexual contact." The alleged offense of one girl is said to have occurred between August 1 and October 18, 2012; the second one between Sept. 1 and Oct. 18. Sexual contact with a person under the age of 13 is automatically upgraded to the charge to sexual assault.  Cascia will also face two counts of child endangerment, according to the indictment.

Atlantic Highlands Man Faces 12 New Charges In Sexual Assault Investigation

Wayne D. Woods, already jailed on 17 charges, has bail set at $1.1 million

An Atlantic Highlands man already jailed on charges that he repeatedly sexually assaulted a 17-year-old has had another dozen charges added to an already lengthy list, according to arrest warrants. Wayne D. Woods, already jailed on 17 charges, faces an additional 12 charges from Atlantic Highlands and Highlands boroughs stemming from separate incidents dating to December. Woods, whose bail has been set to just more than $1.1 million, faces six charges  from each of the two jurisdictions, bringing the number of charges against the 40-year-old man to 29. Police: Atlantic Highlands Man Sexually Assaulted Underage Relative for Years

Man forced girl to perform sex acts under threat he would release explicit photos of her, police say.

An Atlantic Highlands man was arrested Thursday and charged on a slew of sexual assault charges stemming from the repeated and years-long assault of an underage girl who is blood relative, according to arrest warrants.  Wayne D. Woods, 40, was charged with 15 counts of criminal sexual behavior – including six counts of coercive sexual assault -- with a 17-year-old girl who is blood relative, according to arrest records. The laundry list of sex charges also includes seven counts of criminal sexual contact, one count of criminal restraint and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Police: Man Wanted For Child Sexual Abuse

Wall Police believe man has left the area, asking for public's help locating him

Police are looking for a man they say sexually abused a child and may have fled the area. Wall Police are searching for Martin Luis, 36, who had a last known address on 6th Avenue in Neptune Township, Lt. Walter Pomphrey said. Luis is described as a Hispanic male, approx 5-foot 5-inches, with brown eyes and short black hair, Pomphrey said. An arrest warrant was issued for Luis on one count of second degree Aggravated Sexual Assault and one count of second degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. The crime was not random, Pomphrey said. Bail is to be set on arrest, he said. Howell Resident Accused of Sexual Contact With a Child

Alleged incident involved 3-year-old

A 19-year-old Howell Township resident was charged with aggravated sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child after the Howell Police Department responded to a call earlier this week.  According to Capt. Andy Kudrick officers responded to the call at 3:30 on Sunday morning for the reported sexual assault of a 3-year-old child. Ptl. Daniel Murphy was told at the time that the reporting party believed their daughter was sexually assaulted by his sister's boyfriend. Garfield St. man arrested by township police on Wednesday

A Wall man made an initial appearance in court Thursday morning on sexual abuse charges involving a child fewer than 13 years old. Thomas F. McKenna, 73, of Garfield St., was arrested Wednesday and taken to Monmouth County jail, Freehold Township, on $200,000 bail, according to the arrest warrant. McKenna was not listed as an inmate Thursday, jail records say. McKenna is charged with second-degree sexual assault with a minor and third degree endangering the welfare of a child. Wall Township police in a release Thursday afternoon said no further information would be released, citing the nature of the crime and the age of the child. No photo of McKenna was released. Grand jury hands up a 4-count indictment Monday

A Wall man has been charged with the rape of a 13-year-old child, according to court documents. A grand jury on Monday handed up a four-count indictment against Jahvon W. Stroud, of New Bedford Road, for the alleged sexual assault of the minor on May 18, according to the indictment. The incident occurred in Wall. The indictment does not say where. Stroud, 19, is charged with second degree sexual assault and second degree sexual assault with a minor between the ages of 13 and 16, according to the indictment. He also is charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child — one involving the 13-year-old and another involving an 8-year-old child on the same day.
