Todd W. Luttman sworn in as Wall's mayor; Clinton Hoffman named Deputy Mayor
Amid well-wishes and accolades, Committeeman Todd W. Luttman became Wall Township’s newest mayor Wednesday at the Township Committee’s organization meeting. Luttman, who was elected to serve a second term on the five-member Committee in November’s election, began his fourth year on the dais at the helm of the governing body after a short swearing-in ceremony. A unanimous vote of the governing body assured Luttman, last years’ deputy mayor, would hold the township’s top elected spot. Committeewoman Ann Marie Conte made the motion nominating Luttman. Committee expected to choose new mayor for 2013 during Wednesday evening session
Committeeman Todd Luttman will be sworn in to a new term when Wall Township reorganizes for 2013. The Township Committee will hold its annual reorganization meeting at 7 p.m. Jan. 2 at the Municipal Building, 2700 Allaire Road. Reorganization meetings are traditionally held the first week of the new year and allow the governing body to welcome returning or new members, set temporary budgets, make appointments to volunteer boards and hire or rehire professional staff for the coming year. Luttman easily won a second term in the November election and will rejoin Republican colleagues Jeff Foster, Ann Marie Conte, Clinton Hoffman and George Newberry aboard the governing body. No other GOP filed; Dems let deadline pass
Incumbent Committeeman Todd Luttman, currently serving as deputy mayor, will face no challenger for his party's nomination in the upcoming primary election. Luttman, a Republican, filed by Monday's election deadline to run for the GOP nod to retain his seat on the Township Committee in the June 5 primary. There were no other Republican candidates who filed by 4 p.m. Monday. The local Democratic organization did not forward a candidate by the deadline. According to Eric Brophy, Wall Democratic party official, the organization has "decided to wait until June 5 to place our candidate on the ballot." June 5 is the deadline for Independent candidates to file nominating petitions.

Todd Luttman's 2012 committee assingments
As part of their duties as members of the Township Committee, each member is assigned a variety of sub-committees and boards on which they also sit, participating and collecting information to share with the committee as a whole. Each of the five Township Committee members are assigned these additional positions at the organization meeting. The most recent was held Wednesday. Deputy Mayor Todd Luttman will sit on the following boards and committees for 2012:
