Mayor Luttman Takes Helm

Todd W. Luttman sworn in as Wall's mayor; Clinton Hoffman named Deputy Mayor

Amid well-wishes and accolades, Committeeman Todd W. Luttman became Wall Township’s newest mayor Wednesday at the Township Committee’s organization meeting. Luttman, who was elected to serve a second term on the five-member Committee in November’s election, began his fourth year on the dais at the helm of the governing body after a short swearing-in ceremony. A unanimous vote of the governing body assured Luttman, last years’ deputy mayor, would hold the township’s top elected spot. Committeewoman Ann Marie Conte made the motion nominating Luttman. Former Mayor Remembered At Committee Meeting

Frank P. Addonizio honored with moment of silence

Former mayor Frank P. Addonizio was remembered with a moment of silence at Wednesday's Township Committee meeting. Addonizio, a longtime Wall Township Committeeman and former mayor, died Feb. 25 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. He was 85. Following the flag salute, the committee takes a moment of silence. Sometimes that is dedicated to a person or group of people -- like military personnel stationed overseas. Mayor Jeffrey Foster dedicated Wednesday's moment of silence to honor the former longtime committeeman. Addonizio served on the Wall Township Committee from 1994 to 2002 and served in numerous capacities as a committeeman, deputy mayor and mayor – a post which he held in 1996, 1997 and 2001.
