Luxury Condo Application Withdrawn Hours Before Vote

The Monmouth withdraws application, zoning board meeting canceled

Hours before a possible vote on its expansion plans, the owners of a luxury condominium complex on Route 70 abruptly withdrew its application. The Monmouth, an age-restricted high-end condo complex, withdrew its application by letter Wednesday afternoon. No explanation was given, officials said. The two other applications scheduled Wednesday night were rescheduled after each separately asked for a postponement, board member Mary DeSarno said. Applications by T-Mobile and a check cashing business on Route 35 were rescheduled for hearings in October, DeSarno said. Board members were notified Wednesday afternoon that the meeting was canceled, DeSarno said.
