On the article Road Closures, Traffic Map for Belmar St. Patrick's Day Parade

ReplyGlad to answer your question. There are 9-11 approx. St. Patrick Day parades in New Jersey. Every parade wants bagpipe bands but they are limited in number and if all the parades wee help on St. Patricks Day they might get one band each which wouldn't be much of a parade. The parades are held mostly on Sundays so which parade would a band choose to be in? By seperating the parades on various days the bands may march in several during the month of March. Since Belmar/Lake Como is the largest of the parades they are fortunate to have most of the major pipe bands play in their parade. This early parade also gives a needed boost to local businesses whose retail traffic falls off during the winter months. Glad to be of help Jerry Kennedy, retired Belmar/Lake Como parade announcer. .

ReplyA brilliant man, a great pontiff. God Bless him as he spends his final days in prayer for us and the church he led so well. I am sad to see him go but I watched his health deteriorate and it hurt to see him in obvious pain. God Bles you Pope Benedict XVI.

On the article Dwek Sentenced to 4 Years in Prison on State Fraud Charges

ReplyDwek ratted out his cronies and for that got a plea deal. How about that bank he hurt and the employees who suffered. It seems crime does pay. The Feds and the County were too generous in their deal. Stealing 13 million dollars get one a max of six years in prison. Yet some of those caught with a few joints get real time. I just don't see the justice in his sentence.

Dear Gary: This isn't an English composition test. It is the voice of a man frustrated by the lack of government intervention to clean up the mess and take steps to prevent furure disaters. Glad you didn't read the story it was above your reading level. Great job John.
