Reply@Joseph. Because Rick is saying some pretty significant things about ALL teachers and ALL administrators and ALL public schools. And that is just silly.

ReplyMy point is, Dave, that you have heralded your own attendance at the next Board meeting where you plan to defend the "good name" of a former Board member that few people even care about anymore. You may as well plan to get up and pontificate about the virtuous acts of Barry Goldwater. We're moving on, Dave. Let it go.

ReplyIf Dave Lucas wants to put the stained Habel/Brower/Cannon legacy in the past, the best thing he can do is stay home and not make a spectacle of himself. We are trying to move forward Dave. The comment from Really? was asking that Cannon's name NOT be brought up.

ReplyIt is just hard to see where the outrage comes from. Unless you somehow benefit from spreading rumors and innuendo, why are you calling Mr. Simon a liar by not believing that he decided to go have more direct impact on students? These are turbulent enough times in Wall without anonymous false-alarmists creating more unfounded turbulence.

ReplyMy issue with Mrs. Garibay is not personal. Any administrator who was in lockstep with Habel & Brower in supporting the closure of a school seemingly in exchange for a high level position within the district is, in my opinion, a questionable candidate for retention.

ReplyI agree Wallgrad1990. So far in this thread, I have been referred to as; irresponsible, extremely presumptuous, ignorant, petty, an ass, discourteous, slanderous, and sophomoric. All for simply stating the facts that Garibay was in lockstep with Habel & Brower in the ad hoc committee, and was given a big money position by Habel & Brower weeks later. No rumors, no innuendo, just facts. So please, WallgradNowTaxpayer1990, tell these people to grow up.

It's not a question of freedom of speech, Betsy. I'm not arresting him. I'm just pointing out that saying ALL teachers are vindictive liars is a silly statement. Just my opinion. Silly statement.
