Chief Wahoo has every right to be here as you do. While I may not agree with all of his opinions, censoring who should be allowed to comment and who cannot, is just that. Censoring. He's protect by the 1st Amendment just as much as you. Besides, it adds some comic relief.

ReplyThe prupose of this ordinance, if I read between the lines correctly, is only to grant a variance to homeowners that have raised their houses in the past, but still need to raise them more to meet the new ABFE. Since most of the houses that have been already raised are just under the height limits, raising them again will exceed the prior limits. All this variance will do is allow those height limits to be exceeded so you do not have to cut off the top of your house (how nice).
In no way, shape, or form, will anyone be granted a variance to NOT raise their houses. They included that language in the proposal to sound like their are on your side......they are not. -

ReplyWhile the events leading up to the accident may be hard to prove (i.e., whether he was drinking, etc), the fact that he quickly drove his boat home after hitting something in the water, at night, proves negligence. He should do time in prison. And until the authorities start cracking down on these "mo-mos" on the water, we're all in danger.

ReplyWell, there goes the Jersey shore. Unless you make $200K per year, you won't be able to afford it. ....and somebody please tell the realtors trying to sell a house on the barrier island for $1.25 Million that are on a slab now that we've had enough lying from the politicians. Unbelievable.

think you would feel different if it was your surfboard. moreover, crime is detrimental to the economy, and society in general. that's why it's a "crime".
