UPDATE: Marlboro Police Call Off Search, Teen Still Missing

The boy was last seen on Tuesday night in the area of School Road West.

Marlboro Police have called off an active search for a missing teenager with autism who has not returned home after a family disagreement Tuesday night, authorities said.

Police believe Michael Karwan, 19, has left Marlboro but will continue the search if new information becomes available, police said.

Karwan left his parent's School Road West home after an argument. Karwan normally comes home after he has calmed down, police said.

Police began to search at 11 p.m. on Tuesday. A K-9 search came up empty, and police continued the search in an expanded area on Wednesday.

Karwan is described with light skin, brown eyes and black hair. He is a student at Brookdale Community College, last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and green sneakers. He is around 6 ft. tall and weighs around 220 lbs.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective John Bise at the Marlboro Township Police Department: (732) 536-0100.
